New Integrated Payment Module Now Available on Income Tax E-Filing Portal
A new Integrated Payment Module has been introduced on the income tax e-filing portal, allowing taxpayers to make their tax payments for both the Income Tax Act, 1961, and the Income Tax Act, 2025, at a single, unified interface.
The enhancement is aimed at making the tax payments simpler, smoother, and more convenient for users. The update will not only reduce confusion but also save the time of taxpayers by bringing all tax payment options together at a single location.
Using this new module, taxpayers can easily pay their dues concerning the Income Tax Act, 1961, pertaining to the Financial Year 2025-26. Simultaneously, the portal is also allowing payments related to the Income Tax Act, 2025, for the Tax Year 2026-27 and onwards, all from a single interface.
The two options have been explicitly segregated on the portal. The taxpayer is permitted to select the Income Tax Act, 2025, for Tax Year 2026-27 and subsequent years. If they are required to make a tax payment for the assessment year 2026-27 or an earlier year, then payments can be made under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
