AIS Mobile App: How can Taxpayers Download AIS App to view AIS Information

Taxpayers can obtain their tax-related information more easily by using the Income Tax Department’s AIS mobile app. In order to register on the AIS mobile application, taxpayers must first register on the e-filing portal. After registering, taxpayers can examine information about international remittances, tax payments, income tax refunds, GST, and more on the app.

Taxpayers can also leave feedback through the app. Taxpayers can examine all of their tax-related data, including details from Form 26AS, in the Annual Information Statement (AIS) that the app provides. It shows the reported value and the updated value or both that takes into account any taxpayer feedback.

How to Download and Sign up on AIS App by the Taxpayer:

Step 1: Download the ‘AIS for Taxpayer’ app from the Play Store on your phone.

Step 2: Tap “PROCEED,” accept the terms and conditions, and enter your PAN Details and birthdate.

Step 3: Enter your email address and mobile number (which should match those on the e-filing portal).

Step 4: At the prompt, hit “Confirm.”

Step 5: Separate OTPs will be sent to the email address and registered mobile number you provided. After entering these OTPs, select verify.

Step 6: Choose your 4-digit MPIN, and input it before pressing “Next.”

Step 7: Finally, after entering the MPIN for the second time, click confirm.

Note: Users may have only 5 attempts to enter the OTP correctly. For security purposes, if it doesn’t work, the account will be locked for 24 hours.
