Customs Tariff Values Revised: Key Updates for Edible Oils, Gold, Silver, and Areca Nuts

The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) has issued a Notification No. 76/2025-Customs (N.T.), announcing the changes in the Customs Tariff Value. This revision is effective from 12th December 2025, and is applicable to certain goods imported to India, including edible oils, precious metals, and agricultural products.

The tariff values for Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, and Crude Soya Bean Oil, Brass Scrap (all grades) remain unchanged. The tariff value for gold is set at $1336 per 10 grams (Unchanged), while the tariff value of silver is at $1969 per Kilogram. The Gold Bard, other than tola bars, bearing manufacturer’s or refiner’s carved serial numbers, Gold coins (containing below 99.5%), and gold findings, at $1336 per 10 grams.

The tariff value for Areca Nuts remains at $7142 per metric tonne, unchanged from previous updates.
