Delhivery Subsidiary Ecom Express Faces Rs. 1.31 Crore GST Demand, Plans to Challenge Order
Delhivery has recently issued a regulatory filing dated October 22, 2025, addressed to the BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited, informing them that its subsidiary, Ecom Express Limited, has received an order issued by the Assistant Commissioner (CGST) – Patna, Bihar, under Section 74 of the CGST/Bihar GST Act, 2017, read with Section 20 of the IGST Act, 2017. The order relates to the period between the financial years 2018-19 and 2022-23. The company received the order on October 21, 2025. Thereafter, on October 22, 2025, subsidiary Ecom issued an intimation of such an order to the company.
The order imposed a demand amounting to Rs. 13,149,001 along with the interest and penalty amounting to Rs. 35,094 and Rs. 13,149,001, respectively, on Ecom Express Limited. The authority imposed this demand on the company on the grounds of disallowance of input tax credit and short payment of tax.
However, the Ecom is dissatisfied with this order and has thought of challenging this order before the appellate authority. The company further claims that the issuance of this order does not have any material impact on financials, operations, or other activities of Ecom and the company.
