Bank Holiday Alert: RBI Releases November 2025 Holiday Schedule
As we have entered into November, and with it the festive season has also started. Therefore, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced its holiday list on which banks will be closed due to festivals and other regional events.
Bank Customers must know this holiday list to avoid inconvenience. Banks are usually closed on Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. So, if you have any banking work to do this week, make sure you are aware of the following holidays in advance.

Following are the list of bank holidays:
November 5, 2025: On Wednesday, Banks will remain shut in several places on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima and Rahass purnima including Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Aizawl, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, Shimla and Srinagar.
November 6, 2025: On Thursday, Banks will remain shut in Patna due to Bihar Assembly elections. While, for the Nongkrem Dance Festival, banking services will be suspended in Shillong. It is a five-day festival in which many rituals are performed.
November 7, 2025: On Friday, Banks will be closed in Shillong for the occasion of the Wangala festival, which is celebrated to worship the Sun God Saljong.
November 8, 2025: On Saturday, Banks will remain closed in Bengaluru for the occasion of Kanakadasa Jayanti. This day is dedicated to the social reformer and saint poet Sri Kanakadasa. And It is also the second Saturday of the month, and banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays.
Will Online Banking Work on These Holidays?
Banks will be closed on these holidays. However, customers can still use ATMs, UPI, mobile banking, and net banking. So, online money transfers and payments will work as usual.
