This list was prepared based on the Zonal Seniority Lists sent by the respective Cadre Controlling Authorities (CCAs) (Annexure-B).
All the representations/objections received from the CCAs up to now have been examined and resolved.
The following principles have been considered in preparation of the final integrated All India Seniority List of Administrative Officers of CGST and Central Excise, including Directorates, for the period from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022.
- DOP&T’s instructions on seniority and promotion;
- Date of regular appointment in the grade of administrative officers;
- Relative seniority of administrative officers in their respective zones to remain the same in the All India Seniority List;
- When several officers are promoted to the post of administrative officer on the same date, their seniority (rank order) will be decided based on how long they have been working regularly in the previous (feeder) grade.
- If two or more officers were promoted to administrative officer on the same day and they were also appointed to their previous post (feeder grade) on the same day, then the officer who is older (has an earlier date of birth) will be considered senior.
The final combined All India Seniority List of Administrative Officers in CGST and Central Excise (including Directorates) for the period 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2022 has been made using information provided by the Cadre Controlling Authorities. This list is also available on the websites www.dghrdcbic.gov.in and www.cbic.gov.in.
