Kirloskar Pneumatic Gets Rs 11.93 Crore Customs Duty Demand; Plans to Appeal

Kirloskar Pneumatic Limited sent a regulatory filing to BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited regarding intimation under Regulation 30 and Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The company said it received an order through email on November 13, 2025 from the Principal Commissioner of Customs (Imports), Mumbai, asking it to pay additional customs duty of Rs 11,935,360. Along with this, an equal amount has also been charged as a penalty, plus interest. However, if the company pays the duty and interest within 30 days of receiving the order, the penalty will be reduced to 25% of the duty and interest instead of the full amount.

The demand was raised because Customs rechecked the goods and decided that the company had used the wrong category for them under the customs tax rules.

The Company further mentioned that there is no material impact on its financial operations or other activities and will file an appeal against the said Order.
