Background of the case
The Company has received an assessment order from the Income Tax Department under Section 143(3), read with Sections 144C(3) and 144B of the Income Tax Act. Pursuant to this order, an additional income-tax demand has been raised due to certain additions to income and disallowance of specific expenditures under various provisions of the Act. The total tax demand arising from these adjustments for Assessment Year 2023-24 amounts to Rs 67,799,430.
