WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund Introduces Quality Equity Fund with Focus on Robust Fundamentals

WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund has now introduced the WhiteOak Capital Quality Equity Fund, an open-ended equity scheme positioned on the quality factor theme. The NFO will open for subscription on January 8 and will close on January 22, 2025. This fund would look for investment largely in equity and use the rest for relatively limited allocations for debt securities, REITs, and InVITs.

WhiteOak Capital Quality Equity Fund aims to deliver long-term capital appreciation by constructing a diversified portfolio focused on the quality factor exhibited by companies with strong fundamentals and sustainable competitive advantages, predictable returns, lower volatility, and consistent growth. There are no assurances or guarantees of the returns.

The scheme would be benchmarked against the BSE Quality TRI and would also provide both the regular and the direct plans along with growth options.

Asset Allocation

The scheme shall allocate its assets as follows:

  • 80-100% in equity and equity-related instruments aligned with the quality factor theme.
  • 0-20% in equity and equity-related instruments that do not abide by the theme of the quality factor.
  • 0-20% in debt securities and money market instruments.
  • 0-10% in units of REITs and InVITs.

An internal proprietary model can be used to screen stocks that meet the quality factor theme.

Investment Details

  • Minimum Investment: The minimum lump sum investment is Rs.500, with additional investments in multiples of Rs.1.
  • SIPs: SIPs of a minimum Rs.100 per installment, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. A minimum of six installments are required.

Exit Load

  • Units redeemed or switched out within one month of allotment will attract a 1% exit load.
  • No exit load will be charged for redemptions or switches after one month.
  • For systematized purchase/sale transactions, like SIP, Flex SIP, STP, and Flex STP, the exit load prevailing at the time of registration will be levied.
  • Redemption or switch-out of units will be done on a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) basis.

Fund Management

The fund shall be managed by professionals with the experience of Piyush Baranwal and Ramesh Mantri, to ensure expertise in selecting and managing quality-focused investments.

This fund is suitable for investors targeting long-term capital growth and seeking to invest in equity funds through the companies involved with the theme of the quality factor. The individuals are focusing on acquiring their advantage through stable and long-lasting management with strong sustainable growth through such companies.

Conclusion

The WhiteOak Capital Quality Equity Fund, an investment scheme aimed at offering its investors a platform to participate in an investment strategy through the theme-driven approach of high-quality companies possessing robust fundamentals, seeks to create consistent and stable returns over long periods of time by leveraging its proprietary model, as well as expert fund management. The flexible nature of investment along with a very transparent exit policy, might attract such investors who require growth-oriented equity investments.
