CBI Files Case Against Assistant Commissioner CGST for Having Disproportionate Assets

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case on 28th October 2025, against an Assistant Commissioner, CGST, Jaipur, accused of amassing resources and properties under his and his family members’ names. During the searches conducted at several places in Jaipur, Ankleshwar, and Ahmedabad, the CBI recovered Gold and Silver jewellery of around Rs 35 Lakh and luxurious vehicles.

The accused allegedly possessed assets worth around Rs 2.54 Crores illegally between August 2018 and August 2025 while he was serving in Jaipur and Ahmedabad. It is being claimed that this wealth is 100% disproportionate as it does not align with his known sources of income. His family members reportedly own many firms, Limited Liability Partnerships, and companies. The CBI alleges that all these firms were being used by the accused to funnel his illegal wealth.

During the investigation, the CBI found that his family had ownership of various immovable properties at several places in Rajasthan. Apart from this, they also possessed luxurious vehicles such as a Porsche, a Jeep Compass, and 2 Bank Lockers in the name of family members.
