EPFO Declares Productivity Linked Bonus 2024-25: Eligible Employees to Receive Up to Rs. 13,816
The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, has issued a declaration [WSU/Payment & Declaration of PLB/E-886849/2025-26/39], dated October 08, 2025. The declaration is titled “Declaration of Productivity Linked Bonus for Financial Year 2024-25”, is addressed to all the ACC (HQ)s/ACCs (Zones), RPFC-I/RPFC-II/APFC OICS and the Director, PDUNASS, and is a continuation of a letter issued on September 26, 2025.
The letter was regarding the Payment of Advance against the Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for the financial year 2024-25 and asserted that through the letter (no. DoE I.D. No. 11-05/2018-E.III A), dated October 06, 2025, the Central Government has approved the continuation of the existing Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) Scheme for EPFO employees for the year 2024-25.
Based on this approval, EPFO is pleased to inform that it will pay PLB of 60 days’ wages to eligible employees, with a maximum limit of Rs. 13,816. This calculation of 60 days’ PLB has been extracted based on past years’ data submitted by the ZOs. This payment of bogus will be made only to the eligible Group ‘C’ and Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted) employees of EPFO.
The payment of PLB will be conditioned as per the instruction issued by the Ministry of Finance, O.M. No. 7/24/2007/E.III (A) dated 10/10/2024 and September 29, 2025, for payment of bonus.
The following is the formula used to calculate the quantum of bonus:
- Average Emoluments × Number of Days of Bonus ÷ 30.4 (30.4 is the average number of days in a month.)
The money used in the distribution of this bonus amount to eligible EPFO employees will be withdrawn from the Budget Head “Productivity Linked Bonus,” after adjusting any advance already given.
