Government Extends RoDTEP Scheme for DTA Units Until March 31, 2026
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has recently issued a notification (Notification No: 35 /2025, dated September 30, 2025) announcing the extension of the RoDTEP Scheme for the DTA units after September 30, 2025. As per the notification, the central government, exercising the powers under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products until 31st March 2026.
RoDTEP Scheme is a government scheme that aims at reducing the financial burden on the exporters against hidden taxes and duties like fuel tax, electricity duty, by offering a refund.
The scheme, which was earlier ending on 30th September 2025, will now continue to be applicable to exports made from Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) units, Advance Authorisation (AA) holders, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units, and Export Oriented Units (EOUs) up to 31.03.2026.
As per the notification, the current rates of RoDTEP will remain the same for all exports. The scheme will operate within the budgetary framework set by Para 4.54 of FTP 2023 to manage the remissions during the financial year within the approved allocation.
The exporters can check out the eligible export goods, applicable rates, and per value caps in Appendix 4R (for DTA units) and Appendix 4RE (for AA/SEZEOU units at the DGFT website under the Link “Regulations > RoDTEP“.
