- Recently, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) issued an official representation addressing the Finance Minister of India, urging the government to further extend the due date for Tax Audit Report (TAR) filing for the financial year 2024-25 (assessment year 2025-26) from September 30, 2025, to December 31, 2025. In the representation, ICAI highlighted the key issues faced by taxpayers, professionals, and other stakeholders in meeting the legal requirements of filing Tax Audit Reports (TAR), like heavy compliance calendars, portal glitches, overlapping GST and MCA deadlines, etc.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) recently made a public appeal to support aid to flood victims through the ICAI Flood Relief Fund 2025, keeping in mind that the recent floods have adversely affected several states of India. The flood has caused major destruction in the country, destroyed homes and livelihoods, and disturbed the normal lives of thousands of people. In such difficult situations, ICAI has urged everyone to come together and help the affected people. The aim of “ICAI Flood Relief Fund 2025” is to collect money quickly and use it for immediate relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the flood and living in flood-affected areas.
