MCA Portal Update: File MSME Form 1 by April 30 to Avoid Penalties
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has issued an advisory drawing the attention of stakeholders towards timely compliance requirements.
The MCA advised companies to file MSME Form 1 for the half-yearly period covering October 2025 to March 2026 within the prescribed timeline on the MCA Portal.
What do you understand by MSME Form 1?
MSME Form 1 is a compulsory half-yearly return filed by specific companies with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) to report outstanding payments due to Micro or Small Enterprises (MSEs).
How to File MSME Form 1
The following are the steps to file MSME Form 1:
- Step 1: Go to the official website of MCA (i.e., www.mca.gov.in).
- Step 2: Log in using valid MCA V3 Business User Credentials.
- Step 3: Navigate to MCA Services > Compliance Services.
- Step 4: Lastly, select the MSME (Half-Yearly Return) form MSME-1.
Deadline
The deadline for filing MSME Form I is April 30, 2026. The stakeholders must ensure strict adherence to the compliance requirements to avoid penalties and consequences.
