New Aadhaar Update Charges and Assistance Rates: All You Need to Know
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has declared substantial revisions to make Aadhaar upgrades faster, simpler and fully online. This new update will be effective from November 1, 2025.
From November 1, 2025, Aadhaar details such as:
- Aadhaar name
- Address
- Mobile number
all such changes can be done through myAadhaar site (Online). You don’t have to visit any branch to change/update such modifications. However, for biometric upgrades Aadhaar holder will require to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
What are these new changes?
These new changes will reduce manual processing, as Aadhaar cardholders can easily update their name, address, date of birth or mobile number online through the official portal of Aadhaar, i.e., myAadhaarportal.
The UIDAI website shows what kinds of updates you can make to your Aadhaar, how to do them, and what documents you need. If you don’t link your Aadhaar as required, you might face problems using some services or with your money matters.
Aadhaar Vision 2032
UIDAI earlier issued a press release on October 31 regarding the ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ framework. The plan will guide how Aadhaar’s technology, security and service will be upgraded to better serve people and support India’s digital future.
Through this step, UIDAI expects to serve the best technology and new ideas to build public trust and to improve India’s digital service and governance.
