RailTel Receives Rs 49.24 Lakh Penalty, Says No Material Impact on Operations
The RailTel Corporation of India (RCIL), one of India’s largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers, recently issued a disclosure, addressed to the stock exchange, regarding receipt of a penalty order.
This disclosure was made by the company under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Through which, the company informed about the receipt of the penalty on January 15, 2026.
The company added that it received a penalty order worth Rs 49.24 lakhs from the Assistant Commissioner, CGST & CX, Itanagar Division.
The company clarified that the matter does not have any material impact on its financial position, operations or other business activities.
The company added that these decisions can be challenged and that they have filed appeals with the appropriate jurisdictional appellate authorities.
