Rakul Preet Singh, Vashu Bhagnani Face IT Scrutiny as Mumbai Raids Probe Financial Irregularities
The Income Tax Department is conducting searches at several locations linked to Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh, her father-in-law and film producer Vashu Bhagnani, and Panorama Studios in Mumbai.
The Mumbai Income Tax Department began searches at 12 locations over suspected financial irregularities. Officials are looking into allegations that money may have been sent abroad in the name of financing film projects.
Several teams are checking documents, financial records and details of the alleged overseas transactions as part of the investigation.
The development comes months after Mumbai Police launched a search for Rakul Preet Singh’s brother, Aman Preet Singh, in connection with a drug case.
On December 19, 2025, the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) and West Zone police arrested two businessmen for allegedly supplying drugs. Police said they recovered 43 grams of cocaine and 11.5 grams of MDMA from the accused.
Aman Preet Singh was suspected of having bought drugs from the two alleged suppliers on five occasions, according to the police investigation.
