Waaree Energies acquires 100% of Enel Green Power India for Rs.792 Crore
Sarthak Advocates and Solicitors assisted Waaree Energies Limited which is the largest solar PV module manufacturer of India, in strategically acquiring Enel Green Power India Private Limited for Rs.792 crore along with its Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
With this acquisiton, Waaree marks a significant entry into the sector of renewable energy developer. In India, the acquisition of Waree and EGPI marks as a historic event in renewable energy mergers, establishing the largest module manufacturer of country as a serious renewable energy developer.
The Firm assisted Waaree Energies at every level of the accquistion transaction, whether it is of due diligence or to structing the transaction and negotiation of transaction document.
Sarthak established an exclusive practice in the energy space, representing and advising all stakeholders, including generators, distribution firms, transmission companies, power exchanges, and OTC platforms, across multiple jurisdictions.
This acquisition transaction demonstrates expertise of Sarthak in handling such transaction which is complex in nature and of-course a cross-border transactions.
