Unifi Mutual Fund plans to Introduce Two New Fund to enhance Investment Opportunities
Unifi Mutual Fund is planning to roll out two new schemes in the coming months, further increasing its investment opportunities. The move comes after its first fund was launched earlier this month to good investor response.
“Our objective is to have only three funds for the next five years. Probably, we will be the fund house with the fewest funds in the whole country. And we’re extremely pleased with that,” said the Unifi Capital founder Sarath Reddy.
The first plan, Unifi Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund, opened on March 3 and closed on March 7. It is an open-ended hybrid scheme, which dynamically varies its mix between equity and debt to provide returns that beat inflation in various economic cycles. The fund received a good response, with 2,200 investors subscribing to it within five working days.
Next, the fund house is getting ready to launch a flexi cap fund, which will be a 100% equity-oriented fund in May 2025. This flexicap fund will make investments across large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap shares, giving investors diversified equity exposure. Next in line will be a hybrid fund that will launch in June. This fund will strike a strategic balance between equity and debt investments so that it can adjust to changing market conditions while maximizing returns and controlling risks.
Having a vision of the future, Unifi Mutual Fund is going to keep a lean portfolio consisting of just three funds for the next five years. This puts it in the league of very few fund houses in the country with limited offerings, focusing on simplicity and niche investment strategies.
The Unifi Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund, which has skilled professionals in its management, has a dynamic investment approach with shifting between debt and equity from 0% to 100% depending upon the market conditions. The flexibility is driven towards providing consistent returns with less volatility, which is appropriate for those investors who are searching for stable, inflation-surpassing returns for a long-term period.
The new Flexicap fund is likely to offer exposure to the broad market, and the hybrid fund will offer a balanced investment solution, suitable for conservative as well as growth-seeking investors. With a limit to offering just three well-designed funds, Unifi Mutual Fund will be able to offer concentrated and flexible investment solutions. Investors can expect the Flexicap fund to be launched in May 2025, and then the hybrid fund in the latter part of the year, as the company keeps expanding its investment strategy.
