Banks in India are closed on national holidays, regional state holidays based on the state festival, the second and fourth Saturdays of the month and Sundays.

The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar indicates that banks will be closed for 14 days in the month of April 2024, including Sundays and the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. As today is the month’s first Saturday, it will be a working day for all banks here in India.
There are various festivals in the month of April 2024, on the occasion of which banks are closed on that day.
The List of Festival are:
- Babu Jagjivan Ram’s Birthday/Jumat-ul-Vida.
- Gudhi Padwa/Ugadi Festival/Telugu New Year’s Day/Sajibu Nongmapanba (Cheiraoba)/1st Navratra
- Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr)
- Bohag Bihu/Cheiraoba/Baisakhi/Biju Festival
- Bohag Bihu/Himachal Day
- Shree Ram Navami (Chaite Dasain)
- Garia Puja.
