Elon Musk’s India Visit Confirmed: Meeting with PM Modi
Recently, the CEO of Space X & Tesla Elon Musk confirmed on X Platform (Twitter) he is visiting India to meet with PM Narendra Modi.
In his post on X Elon Musk said, “Looking forward to meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India!” Within hours the post went viral and crossed over 33 million views.
Musk is coming to India soon and might talk about investing here, like building a new factory. He’s also interested in bringing Tesla cars to India; Because India is a Big Market Place after China and highest Population in the world.
During the last meeting between Elon Musk and PM Modi at last June 2023, where Elon said “his plan to visit India 2024” and also said “Tesla would Enter the Indian Market Soon”
New Policy Recently Announced:
Under the new EV policy announced on March 15, the government will allow the import of completely built-up (CBU) electric cars that have a minimum cost, insurance, and freight value of $35,000 (Rs29.2 lakh) at 15% import duty for five years in exchange for a minimum investment of $500 million
Elon Musk-Led Tesla To Drive Into Indian Market Soon?
Elon Musk-led US electric automaker Tesla is entering the Indian market as the government is finalizing a policy to extend concessional import duties on electric cars exceeding Rs 30 lakh (about $36,000) for 2-3 years. This move comes as India aims to boost employment and reduce the prices of electric vehicles through local manufacturing.
