Finance Minister Unveils Initiative to Boost India’s Manufacturing Industries
The Union Finance Minister has announced several important steps to strengthen India’s manufacturing sector, especially in strategic and advanced industries. These initiatives aim to support the vision of Viksit Bharat and promote economic growth. The following are the initiatives:
1. One major initiative is Biopharma SHAKTI, which aims to make India a global centre for biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
2. The government has also proposed to start the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) 2.0.
3. The government has decided to increase the budget for the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme to Rs. 40,000 crore.
4. The government has planned to set up dedicated Rare Earth Corridors in Odisha, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.
5. The government has also proposed to introduce a Scheme for Enhancement of Construction and Infrastructure Equipment (CIE).
6. The proposal includes setting up three dedicated Chemical Parks across the country.
7. A new container manufacturing scheme will be launched with a budget of Rs. 10,000 crore for five years.
8. Lastly, the government plans to launch a scheme to revive 200 legacy industrial clusters.
These initiatives will help in generating employment, promoting self-reliance, encouraging modern technology, and improving India’s position in the global market. Overall, they will contribute to industrial growth and sustainable development.
