Kotak Mutual Fund warns Investors about Fake WhatsApp Group

Kotak Mutual Fund has warned the general public about a fraudulent WhatsApp group operating in its name and brand. The fund house has identified one such group by the name of “Kotak Club – 213” which is impersonating Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund. Such a group is engaged in illegal activity like providing tips and trades on stock markets by misusing the name and logo of the company and the names of its senior executives.

In a public notice, Kotak Mutual Fund clarified that the company has not authorized any individual or entity to create such platforms. It also clarified that the fund house is not connected with these fraudulent groups in any way and condemns such practices.

It further asked the general public to be aware and not to get involved in such scams. Additionally, the company is not liable for any losses of those dealing with such fictitious groups. Similarly, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund asked investors to make transactions only from its channel to keep themselves safe.

Investors can log on to the official website for more information or call their nearest registered branch of the fund houses.

Kotak Mutual Fund manages assets of Rs.4.75 lakh crore as of August across its suite of 132 schemes.
