Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana Notified for Disclosure of Information U/S 138 of Income Tax
The Central Government has officially designated the Secretary of Women and Child Development, Maharashtra, to access income tax information. This helps them identify the right people who can benefit from the Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
As per the official notification issued by Ministry of Finance, dated June 3, 2025, “-In pursuance of sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 138 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, the Central Government hereby specifies ‘Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra, Women and Child Development’ for the purposes of the said clause in connection with sharing of information regarding Income-tax payers’ for identifying eligible beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana.”
What is Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana?
The Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana was introduced by the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, which focuses on providing financial support to women between the ages of 21 and 65 years across the state. By sharing information about Income taxpayers, the government can make sure the benefits go to those who really need them.
