MCA Notifies Revised Recruitment Rules for Senior Technical Assistant Posts
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) recently shared a notification on October 24, 2025 related to ministry of corporate recruitment rules.
In powers given by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in supersession of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Senior Technical Assistant, Group ‘B‘ Post, Recruitment Rules, 2012, except as respects things done or removed to be done before such post of Senior Technical Assistant in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs–
1. Title and commencement
(1) These rules will be known as the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (Senior Technical Assistant) Recruitment Rules, 2025.
(2) They will come into effect on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Number of posts, classification and level in pay matrix
The number of the said post, its classification and level in the pay matrix attached thereto will be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the schedule annexed to these rules.
3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualification and others
The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post will be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said schedule.
4. Disqualification
No person-
(a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living or
(b) A person who already has a spouse living and has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person will be eligible for appointment to the said post:
However, the Central Government can make an exception if:
- The second marriage is allowed under the personal law of the person (for example, under certain religious laws), and
- The government is satisfied that there’s no other reason to deny the appointment.
5. Power to relax
If the Central Government thinks it’s necessary or appropriate, it can relax (or make exceptions to) any of these rules for certain groups of people. However, it must write down the reasons for doing so and first consult the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
6. Saving
These rules will not change or take away any special benefits like reservation, age relaxation, or other concessions that must be given to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), ex-Servicemen, or other special groups, as decided by the Central Government from time to time.
