MCA Proposes Major Overhaul of Filing System; Invites Feedback from Stakeholders till May 15

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India, has released a Concept Note, addressed to all stakeholders, informing them about the Rationalisation of the MCA Filing Architecture under the Companies Act, 2013. Meaning, the government is redesigning how companies submit forms and documents to the MCA.

This step is a part of the government’s larger initiative to facilitate doing business in India more efficiently, contributing to the goal of “Viksit Bharat @2047″. The action will ultimately reduce convolution, eliminate the unnecessary steps, and simplify the overall process of doing business.

In order to make this initiative more effective, the MCA is seeking feedback from stakeholders such as companies, chartered accountants, company secretaries, and the general public on this move. They are being asked to share their valuable inputs, such as their suggestions and experiences on this subject, by completing the questionnaire that has been provided in Part II of the concept note.

They can submit their responses online at iica.nic.in/mcaeodbform; the due date for the same is May 15, 2026. Stakeholders are advised not to miss the deadline.
